This year’s award recipients include George Takei, the legendary actor and activist who will take home the ICON Award for his lifelong contributions to the arts; Ken Jeong for Actor of the Year, for his work on “Dr. Ken”; Jennifer Yuh Nelson for Director of the Year, for helming the critically acclaimed box office hit “Kung Fu Panda 3”; Brian Tee, the “Chicago Med” star, for BMW’s Ultimate Drive Award; and Wong Fu Productions, which as a YouTube digital influencer has impacted an entire generation and which most recently produced “Single By 30.”
Terrence Howard, the “Empire” star, will lead the list of presenters, which includes Randall Park and the cast of “Dr. Ken.”
Unforgettable is presented for the first time by BMW of North America, which will put on display at the event its visionary BMW i8 hybrid-electric sports car, and shuttle all VIP guests in the all-new BMW 7 Series. The gala is also supported by M&L Hong Foundation, Private Internet Access and Pechanga.
